Fire Light Projects is a short run book publishing company providing book design, layout, printing and the appropriate registrations for spoken word artists. The company was founded in 2003 by Milton Jackson whom at the time was a junior at a liberal arts university in Connecticut.

Freedom: Next Exit Released: December 11, 2007 A book of poems socially critical of today's society, the unhealthy perception of sexism and negative representation of self. Jackson cites American hip hop/ pop culture 's influence upon youth civility utilizing different forms of poetry to disclose problems and propose self development through education as a solution to urban "funk".
